There’s more light ahead for the Thomas Edison Center at Menlo Park! 

Imagine expanding our current 700 square foot museum to to over 7,000 square feet! — The possibilities of a modern museum with multiple classrooms, an expanded gallery and archive space, outdoor student area, a cafe and a larger parking lot! Plus, all ADA accessible for our visitors needing accommodations. Our vision for a new expanded museum will finally match the significance of the great inventor and truly honor the legacy of the “Wizard of Menlo Park” and his men, the Menlo Park Edison Pioneers.

We can’t wait to curate more captivating exhibits in the larger space with artifacts that have been hidden in our archives and stop turning large school groups away sue to limited space!

This new museum will also drastically change the depth of our program offerings, making a deeper impact with each visitor. We want you to be excited along with us and be involved with our biggest growth yet. Historic Menlo Park in this new light will make us proud and this current gem of Edison Township and Middlesex County will take on an even more significant role. While our Trustees have been working tirelessly to raise funds and we’ve secured grants from the State of New Jersey for our future, we're not there yet.
