Can you bee-leaf it’s already spring?! Join TECMP, the Edison Township Environmental Commission in sprucing up the Edison State Park along with help from SEWA USA!
We welcome all who are interested in volunteering their time to help keep our site beautiful! Are you in need of service hours? This event can absolutely help with that and we hand out volunteer hour certificates day of!
We will primarily be planting, weeding and mulching the grounds. Tools and supplies are limited, so we encourage you to bring your favorite pair of shears or gloves. Please also dress appropriately for the event!
On Saturday, June 15 at 11 am, our event The History of Recorded Sound with Grammy-nominated artist Michael Devecka will be held on the grounds of the Thomas Edison Center. Michael will demonstrate original phonographs and discuss the impact of Edison’s invention. Menlo Park is the birthplace of recorded sound, and this invention earned Edison the nickname, the ‘Wizard of Menlo Park’.

September 21st, we will be hosting an event, Early Lighting Technology and More! Our special guest speaker, Chad Shapiro is an international lighting historian and will be giving an informational speech for patrons and members.
The event will be hosted outdoors in a large tent.

Finally back, and better than ever, is Thomas Edison Center at Menlo Park's TRAIL OF TERROR! With the help of Middlesex College's Back Stage Players, we hope to light up your halloween with some spooky, scary fun!
The event is first come, first serve. Space is limited!
Tickets are $4.00 per person and ticketing options will be announced closer to the date.

The Edison Memorial Tower Corporation and Edison Environment Commission partnered with SEWA International welcomes volunteers to engage in an extensive cleanup and beautification initiative at Thomas Edison State Park.
Collaboratively, volunteers will clear fallen trees, prune bushes and shrubs, and create walking trails leading to a pond on the expansive 36-acre Menlo Park property.

Looking for somewhere to celebrate National Inventors Day? Look no further than The Thomas Edison Center at Menlo Park! Join us for an early celebration on SATURDAY FEBRUARY 10th! Our museum will be hosting the New Jersey Emergency Communications Team who will be broadcasting a special event station on site from 10am to 4pm! We will also be open for our regular tours.

We hope you will join us for our dedication ceremony with Mayor Joshi to recognize her efforts and admire the work of art that now decorates our wonderful site.

The Thomas Edison Center at Menlo Park is proud to host Edison's own Terra Nova Garden Club for their annual Plant Sale. Whether you're looking for some amazing annuals or the perfect perennial, decorating with flowers or growing your own veggies, this event has something for everyone!

The Trail of Terror is back! Hosted by the Thomas Edison Center at Menlo Park, the Edison High School Drama Club provides chills and thrills along the Edison State Park’s trails. Stop by for a night of Halloween fun.
Event begins at 6:00pm and is first come, first serve. Space is limited!
Tickets are $4.00 per person and can be purchased the day of the event either at the door or at the Harvest Fun Fest.
Visitor discretion is recommended for children under 12.

We need volunteers to help clean up, plant flowers, trim bushes, mulching and other general outdoor cleaning activities.
No experience necessary. Perfect for community minded people, students, scouts, clubs, etc. Service hour letters given.
We have some tools but it would be very helpful if you could bring your own as well. Make sure to mark any tools you bring.
The Thomas Edison Center at Menlo Park will be holding their 8th Annual Golf Outing at the Metuchen Golf and Country Club on Tuesday May 3, 2022. We hope that you can attend and/or support the efforts of the non-profit's largest annual fundraiser.
This year we are highlighting our plans for a new and larger museum to more appropriately honor the significant and enduring value of the work Thomas Edison created at our local Menlo Park historic site. This fundraiser also helps support the educational activities at our museum and helps us sponsor local high school scholarships!

Come and spend your morning with us for an open air beginners yoga class on the historic Edison Memorial Tower green. Relax your mind, strengthen your body, and connect with yourself all the while being surrounded by the beauty of nature in a safe environment. Class will be led by certified yoga instructor Andrea Kantrovich.
Note: Please bring your yoga mat, water, and anything else you feel you may need for you to have a successful workout. Yoga mats WILL NOT be provided. Pre-determined mat spots will be marked to maintain proper social distancing. Please bring and wear a mask during check-in. Please arrive a minimum of 15 minutes prior to start of the event. All participates will receive a special gift bag.
The museum will be following State, Local, and CDC guidelines regarding social distancing to keep everyone safe during this event.
